ECONOMY

More metres, less litres:
The super-efficient 1.4 MultiAir petrol engine delivers significantly more power and torque than similar-sized engines, while consuming up to 10% less fuel – giving you as much as 60mpg on the open road (extra urban cycle).

Diesel economy:
Go for the new 85PS 1.3 MultiJet diesel engine and you’ll get as much as 97mpg out of the tank on the extra-urban cycle, thanks to new-generation fuel injection technology that optimises efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions while guaranteeing brilliant performance.

Start&Stop:
No need to waste fuel idling in traffic, as Start&Stop technology now comes as standard on all Punto models. It temporarily switches off your engine when the car is stationary, and starts it up again smoothly as soon as you hit the clutch – saving you up to 15% in fuel on a typical urban journey and cutting noise and emissions too.

TwinAir: high mpg, low CO2:
Thanks to its ultra-fuel-efficient engine, the Punto TwinAir is officially the cleanest petrol supermini in the world. It uses MultiAir technology in a twin-cylinder engine to cut CO2 emissions to dramatically low levels – so low, it’s exempt from road tax and the London congestion charge. And with excellent fuel consumption of up to 67.3mpg, you’ll save at the pump too.

PERFORMANCE

MultiAir power:
Feisty performance with the economy of a supermini. The turbocharged 1.4 MultiAir petrol engine gives you significantly more power and torque than other engines of the same size, while considerably reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

New improved MultiJet:
It’s not just the looks that have been enhanced – the new Fiat Punto delivers a better drive too. The improved 1.3 MultiJet engine on the Easy and Lounge models packs a lively 85bhp punch while emitting just 90g/km of CO2, giving you a smoother, quieter, more efficient drive.

Award-winning TwinAir:
Go for the high-tech TwinAir engine to keep your driving fun high and your running costs low. It’s a turbocharged marvel that packs the power of a 1.4 but cuts fuel and CO2 emissions to dramatically low levels. No wonder it was named 2011 International Engine of the Year.

SAFETY

All-round protection:
The new Punto is designed to achieve the highest levels of safety for you and your family. Driver, passenger and window airbags come as standard. Seatbelt pre-tensioners provide added protection and easy-plugin ISOFIX child seat mounts are also included.

Keep your grip:
Stay in control, however slippery the conditions, with state-of-the-art safety technology. EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution) with ABS helps prevent skidding if you stop suddenly, while optional ESP (Electronic Stability Programme, standard on the Lounge version) keeps you steady if your tyres lose their grip.

Easy cornering:
Go for high-tech cornering front fog lights that switch on automatically to illuminate a corner as you turn the wheel. Handy for tight turns on dark roads – and they look good too.

Award-winning MultiAir:
A revolution in petrol engine technology, MultiAir boosts the Punto’s power by 10%, while reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by the same amount. No wonder it scooped International Engine of the Year 2010.

Now music, satellite navigation and phone contacts are at your command, easily managed through convenient steering wheel controls or by voice activation. And the portable wireless colour touchscreen fits neatly onto your dashboard.

TRIM

Inner style:
The sporty good looks continue inside, with an interior that’s unmistakeably Italian in style. Select from a choice of elegant trims featuring top-quality materials and superb attention to detail.

Colour Coordinated:
The revamped door panels include large fabric-upholstered areas for a classy, premium feel. Even the framing and door inserts are coloured to coordinate with your chosen trim.

Sit comfortably:
Looking good is only half the story. The new Punto’s seats feel as premium to the touch as they look to the eye.

TwinAir styling:
Choose the sporty TwinAir trim for an interior with attitude. There are TwinAir touches everywhere, from the bespoke seat fabrics to the logo on the headrests and dashboard inserts.

ERGONOMICS

Coordinated dash:
The dashboard has been stylishly redesigned to match your chosen trim, with tactile embossed surfaces and the option of ambient lighting on the passenger side that makes night-time driving a pleasure.

Thoughtful design:
Everything is designed to help you drive with ease, from the large, easy-read dials and gauges to the steering wheel controls for your music and mobile. There’s even an onboard gear shift indicator showing you when to change gear for maximum efficiency.

Built around you:
The driver’s seat is fully adjustable for both height and leg length. The height and reach of the steering wheel can also be adjusted, so every driver can sit comfortably.

interior_comfort.jpg

COMFORT

Room for all:
It may have looks to thrill, but the new Fiat Punto doesn’t compromise on practicality. It seats five people comfortably, with plenty of space for your gear, giving you even more room to stretch out.

Dual climate control:
Some like it hot, some don’t. No problem. Choose the optional dual zone automatic climate control system, and driver and passenger can enjoy different air temperatures and distribution.

Intelligent steering:
Dualdrive™ technology gives you extra-light power steering when you need it – for example, when parking – and stiffer control when you don’t. And because it only uses power when necessary, it helps you save even more fuel.

interior_entertainment.jpg

ENTERTAINMENT

Music at your command:
Your tunes are at your fingertips with the Blue&Me™ entertainment system. Plug in your MP3 player or USB stick and play the tracks you want without taking your hands off the wheel – by using the handy steering wheel controls or with simple voice commands like ‘Next’, ‘Previous’ and ‘Play’.

CD friendly:
A top-of-the-range radio and CD player comes as standard on all models. And if you like your music with extra muscle, the Lounge model comes with an optional sub-woofer to immerse you in high-quality sound.

interior_boot.jpg

BOOT SPACE

Load it up:
Don’t be fooled by its compact shape – the new Fiat Punto hosts a generous 275-litre boot, giving you heaps of space for all your stuff. Fold down the rear seats and that expands to a whopping 1030 litres. Enough for a bicycle or two.

Versatile seating:
The rear seats have a 60:40 split design on the Easy and Lounge models, so you can flip them up and fold them down to create as much space as you need. That means you can have a passenger sitting front and back and still have room for the golf clubs.
